I start a lot of projects, but like many of extremely enthusiastic creator types, I tend to finish a lot less of them than I start. I want to change that, so in the spirit of social feedback loops, and working with the garage door up I’m going to be posting semi-regularly about project ideas as they come, and including updates about what progress (if any) I make on them.

As of today (Mar. 30, 2021) here’s the ideas I’m most interested in building:

  • youfeed: ▮▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯ 10%

in a nutshell: a feed-based stream a là fb/twitter, only the content is automatically pulled from sources you specify such as reading queues like Pocket/instapaper, popular sites like hacker news, or from substack’s you’re subscribed to.
  • all the messages: ▮▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯ 10%

in a nutshell: computer vision based tool that runs the official PC/web versions of popular messaging apps in the cloud on your behalf and archives all sent and received messages into a searchaable db that you control.

in other words: never forget who messaged you and on which platform again
